Introduction
Dr. C.V. Raman University is one of the premier science, technology and professional Education Universities having its campus at Kota Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. It has been set up by the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT). The University has been notified on 3rd November 2006 by Govt. of Chhattisgarh and Shri Santosh Choubey has been appointed as its first Chancellor. The primary objective of the university is to provide quality training in Higher Education and make provisions for research, advancement and dissemination of knowledge. A graduate from Dr. C. V. • Four years Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering
• Four years Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)in Electronics & Electrical Engineering
The above mentioned courses are approved by AICTE. In addition to undertaking regular degrees and PG programmes in Science, Art, Commerce and Management faculties, Dr. C.V. Raman University also focuses on newer subjects like Bio Technology, Environmental Science and other modern Science and Technology related areas. The University is already running B.Ed. and B.P.Ed. programmes approved by NCTE. They are also shorting MBA programme from this session and shall add Pharmacy and other programmes from the next session.
Admission Procedure
The application form along with the prospectus can be obtained from the university campus, Bilaspur, either in person or on payment of Rs. 200 and also through post by sending a written request accompanied with a Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur. The applicant should write his/her name and the address details on the back side of the Bank Draft.
Following are the important documents /certificates to be enclosed along with the application form
• Attested photo copy of Mark-sheets of qualifying or last attended (10+2 with Maths for B.E. courses,) Graduation, and Post Graduation
• One recent passport size photograph duly attested should be pasted on the application form
Eligibility Criteria
Students passed only from the recognized Indian Boards/ Universities or equivalent or National Open or State Open School can apply for admission. Admission is open to all those who have the prescribed qualification. However, all admissions are provisional, subject to verification of the required documents & eligibility conditions.
