The Nedungayil Sankunni Narayanan Matriculation Higher Secondary School was introduced in 1968 by Smt. Lalitha N. Menon. She launched this school in the memory of her beloved husband, late Sri. N.S.N. Menon. The school began its journey as a primary school and got the status of a Matriculation School in 1980 and Higher Secondary School in 1985. It may be mentioned with pardonable and legitimate pride that it was the first school in Chromepet which got the status of a Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Students of this school secured State ranks in the Matric and Higher Secondary Examination.
