Osmania University is a public university which is situated in the city of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. Osmania University was the 1st Indian University which has Urdu language as medium of instruction. Osmania University is one of the largest university systems in the subcontinent. Osmania University is named after the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the founder of this university. Osmania University is one of the earliest modern universities in India.
